Today I reviewed one of the coolest new blues records, called Thin Ground by The Breeze.

This was sent to me by one of the band members, Christopher Coll, and I am so happy it was and he included some sketches he as well of J.J. Cale, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart which was really awesome.

The album has influences, including Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and many more and with melancholic and dark themes, this album is not for the faint hearted! But with it’s subtle tones, and incredible lyricism and arrangements, this truly is the key blues album for any fan of blues music.

I really loved listening to this album, and I cannot wait to hear more from The Breeze. With their incredible sound, this album expresses such an artistic touch it is incredible.
