Today I reviewed Queens of the Stone Age, the stoner rock band’s debut self titled album ‘Queens of the Stone Age’ released in 1998.

Now repressed with some new tracks by Matador Records at the heels of their last studio album In Times New Roman… and the tour it entailed The End Is Nero tour, this is a lot to handle for all Queens of the Stone Age fans across the globe.

This album is one of the albums that have shaped my music taste for a long time now, and has really interested me with the fact that it is still revolutionary and unique to anything else now, so what was it’s release like in 1998?

I had the pleasure of meeting QOTSA’s frontman Joshua Homme of other bands including Kyuss, Them Crooked Vultures and Desert Sessions. An iconic guitarist, and incredible musician, Joshua Homme was an incredible guest to have on my podcast. Two hours after our interview, I saw him and the band rock the 3Arena in Dublin, on the final European leg of their The End Is Nero tour.
