Today on my podcast Logan Sounds Off, I am sharing my interview with The Riptide Movement.

Interview with The Riptide Movement’s Malachy and Gerry!

Today I am excited to be sharing my first live interview, which was with The Riptide Movement! We held our conversation live at Kaleidoscope Festival, for the audience, and the recording for you!

We had an amazing conversation about The Riptide Movement’s new music, including The Old Stomping Ground as well as their latest track When The Sun Comes Up. We also spoke about what it was like to perform at Glastonboury, and some of their adventures there.

We also chatted about The Elephant In The Room, which is a very important initiative to start conversations about mental health. You can check it out here: https://www.elephantintheroom.ie/about-elephant-in-the-room

As well as this, we discussed the amazing place of recording for their album “Ghosts”, and what that was like; being out in the middle of nowhere – and how that reflected the album’s title. We also touched on their early roots, as well as how the group began, from the early band formation and busking, to as well as that their debut album “What About The Tip Jars”.

I was lucky enough to see The Riptide Movement play live after this interview, and they were fantastic. I loved seeing them bring out the Elephant, more info here: https://www.elephantintheroom.ie/. As well as this, they blew me away with their fantastic talent – for me, it was wild: going from listening to these tracks at home and out and about, to seeing them on stage was amazing!

Honestly, it was a wonderful and amazing experience. As it was my first time going to the Kaleidoscope festival, it was cool to see not only the festival, but a two live gigs! One of them being The Riptide Movement!
