Today I reviewed the debut record of the iconic and influential band Fugazi. This was released in 1988, and when combined with the Margin Walker EP, it became the debut LP by Fugazi, called 13 Songs.
I loved listening to this, because this was really important to me as one of the first tracks the ever got me into music, was Waiting Room, the first track on this album.
With it’s chaotic and impressive album cover, sure to peek out through the other records on the shelves, this album is not one to ignore, with it’s unique and very interesting riffs, styles and tones, as most of the punk at the time couldn’t even be comparable!
What became of these records was that they would go down in punk rock history, and rightly so! I loved listening to this record, and reviewing it, which was very hard, since there is so much to say about this record!
My parents picked up this album for me on a recent visit to Kilkenny at Rollercoaster Records in Kilkenny and you can listen to my thoughts here or in the link below:
